Happy New Year to you although we are 8 days in and this is my first blog for ages and certainly for this year. I wanted to just share with you the open house event I held at my home before Christmas to raise some money for Breast Cancer Care,I managed to donate £160.00 and so satisfying thanks to you all. It was absolutely wonderful to have so many lovely ladies in my home and especially lovely to meet up in person with friends that I had only known from facebook etc, always lovely to turn a virtual friend into a real friend. It’s always the same when you organise a party yourself, my fear is… will people turn up? Well you did and thank you Su Parkes you definately put my mind at rest when you were first to arrive on the day. Friends new and old arrived steadily all day 11am until the last guest left at 10.15pm. It was amazing and has given me the confidence to hold another one soon. A mothers day event will be the next one so save the date and I’ll keep you posted.
